Background

Man in a Tree Productions is an American production company that was founded in 2016 by director James DeMonaco, the creator of The Purge franchise and producer Sébastien Lemercier.

Logo (September 4, 2018-)

Visuals: There is a light flashing in the center in which the camera zooms out and unveils a silhouette of a man putting on a hat while standing on a tree branch. Panning out further has the light covering most of the tree before flashing and turning the silhouette to white. A line can be seen underneath the tree in a similar fashion to The Ladd Company's logo. The company name then slides in below the line.

Variants:

  • A still version has the finished logo on a dirty black background.
  • On the first season of The Purge, the logo is next to the Racket Squad Productions logo.

Technique: 2D animation. This was designed by Filmograph.

Audio: The opening/closing theme of the TV show or movie.

Availability:

  • Seen on The Purge TV series, whereas the animated version was seen on This is the Night.
  • Despite having produced them, this logo doesn't appear on any films from The Purge franchise.
