Background

Turner Studios was the full service broadcast production division of Turner Entertainment Group, providing turnkey services for film, video and audio production. The company provides facilities and resources worldwide for all of the Turner Entertainment Networks. It was founded in the 1990s, and went defunct in 2019 due to the dissolution of Turner Broadcasting System.

1st Logo (January 1, 2004-July 22, 2007)

Visuals: There are two variants of this logo, both including a weird wireframe globe-like emblem with "TURNER STUDIOS" in a futuristic font below. The variants are:

  • Harvey Birdman: Attorney at Law: After the last bit of the end credits, a door with blurry glass and a brown, spruce-like frame shuts on the credits. On the glass is the emblem in blue, and the text in white below it.
  • Stroker & Hoop: On a computer screen with a red color scheme (probably the computer in the car Stroker and Hoop drive in, named "C.A.R.R."), we see sound waves moving before the emblem and text, which are both in red, appear via glitch effect. Here, the emblem is smaller and the text is bigger.

Technique: Computerized animation.

Audio: Harvey Birdman: Attorney at Law had the closing theme of the show accompanied by the sound of a door shutting; Stroker & Hoop had a robotic voice (performed by Paul Christie) saying "beep boop bop bwop" accompanied by a synthesized "ding" sound.

Availability: Seen on Harvey Birdman: Attorney at Law (starting with season 2) and Stroker & Hoop.

2nd Logo (July 7, 2011)

Visuals: Just the blue version of the Turner Studios print logo (in which the emblem and the company name are different) on the white background.

Technique: A digital graphic.

Audio: A reversed synth note.

Availability: Only seen on the Ugly Americans episode "Callie and Her Sister".

3rd Logo (July 28, 2011-April 25, 2012)

Visuals: A hand holds a notepad flipping it to reveal the spinning emblem with the company name fading in, then it stops.

Variant: A still version exists.

Technique: Live-action footage by Paul Markowski.

Audio: Paper flipping sounds or the closing theme of the show.

Availability: Seen on later episodes of Ugly Americans.

4th Logo (September 3-6, 2012)

Visuals: On a white background is the Turner globe flashing a bit, then the text "TURNER" fades in below the globe with the word "STUDIOS" later appearing underneath the word above.

Technique: 2D computer animation.

Audio: A deep whoosh sound with two electrical-like sounds.

Availability: Only seen on The Restless Bell.
