Background

Gloria Sanchez Productions was founded by Jessica Elbaum, Will Ferrell's assistant, in February 2014 as a sister label of Gary Sanchez Productions for female-centric films. Elbaum has worked with Ferrell since the founding of Gary Sanchez Productions as an executive producer and pitched the idea to create a female-focused production company.

In January 2020, the company was reorganized following the dissolution of Gary Sanchez Productions and became Ferrell's primary production company while still maintaining a focus on female-centered stories. It entered a multi-year non-exclusive first-look television deal with Netflix, and also entered a feature multi-year deal with Paramount Pictures. In 2021, it was moved to 20th Century Studios.

Logo (January 24, 2015-)

Visuals: Same as the Gary Sanchez Productions logo, only this time, a calico cat walks near the coffee and lies down, and the text "Gloria" in cursive replaces "GARY" in "GARY SANCHEZ PRODUCTIONS". Also, the person putting the coffee in the mug is likely a woman, as evidenced by the hand having red nail polish.

Trivia: This logo has a noticeable animation error where the coffee cup jitters for a split-second.

Variants:

  • A short version exists, where it shows the logo already formed. The cat just meows here.
  • On The Shrink Next Door, the logo is next to the Buckaroo logo.
  • At the end of Theater Camp, the print logo is seen.

Technique: Mostly live-action, just like its male counterpart. This was done by Picturemill.

Audio: The cat purring and meowing (possibly a Sound Ideas Series 4000 vocal effect) along with the coffee being poured.

Availability: Seen on films like Sleeping with Other People, Oh Lucy!, Booksmart, Hustlers, Barb and Star Go to Vista Del Mar and Spirited. It was also seen on TV shows like I'm Sorry, Dead to Me and The Shrink Next Door.
