Background

This was Mike Karz's production company, located at Warner Bros. Studios in Burbank, California. In 2012, Karz and Bill Bindley formed Gulfstream Pictures in the same location, merging Karz Entertainment into the company.

1st Logo (April 19, 1998-August 24, 2012)

Visuals: On a dark blue background, a yellow oval wipes in from the top left, containing "KARZ" inside, which casts a silver shadow. "ENTERTAINMENT", in white, fades in below.

Variants:

  • Sometimes, the oval is silver.
  • A still version exists.

Technique: 2D animation.

Audio: An ascending four-note synth piano/chime tune, a generic ABC theme, or the ending theme of the TV movie.

Availability: Seen on some TV movies such as Geppetto and Model Behavior.

2nd Logo (September 21, 2007)

Visuals: A cyan light streak flashes, which is revealed to be two cars racing each other at night as a city skyline fades in in the background, and the cars' headlights reveal the road in the process. As they drive closer, the first car (appearing to be a light blue Nissan 350Z/Fairlady Z Z33) drifts to the right close to the camera. It's taillight streak creates the silver letters "K.E.I." (short for Karz Entertainment Incorporated) while the second car (appearing to be a Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VIII, given it's bumper-integrated grille piece and overall appearance), whose headlights shine the letters, follows it as they both drive out of camera.

Technique: CGI by Scott Williams at New Wave Entertainment.

Audio: The opening of the movie.

Availability: Only seen on Good Luck Chuck.
