Background

Goldwyn Entertainment Company was the short-lived rename of The Samuel Goldwyn Company, after its acquisition by Metromedia Entertainment Group (MEG) in 1996. It distributed 2 films under this name before Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Studios acquired MEG in 1997 and renamed it "Goldwyn Films" later in the year.
