Background

Hudson Movie Production is a label used by the Japanese videogame developer Hudson Soft to release promotional VHS tapes.

Logo (1990-1995)

Visuals: On a gray background, there's a pink-white box in the low-right corner of the screen. The box shakes and breaks to reveal a bee named Hachisuke, who is Hudson Soft's mascot. Hachisuke flies closer to the screen while spinning five times, and then stops while flapping his wings. Next to it, the following blue text:

wipes in. Finally the bee winks and becomes still, and the logo remains for a few seconds before fading to black.

Technique: Cel-animation.

Audio: A different arrangement of "Flight of the Bumblebee" by Rimsky-Korsakov with a ding when the bee blinks, and ending with a 13-note string theme.

Availability: Seen on promotional VHS tapes, such as the DiGimation collection.
