Background

RKO Pictures Española was a short-lived division of RKO in Spain, mostly focused for distributing VHS for a short period of time, in which none of them were original RKO movies. Eventually, it became Orbital Producciones, which disbanded not very long after.

Logo (1985-1986)


Visuals: Over a starry environment with orange, yellow, and green clouds, a transmitter is shown on a globe of planet earth, as the logo zooms out. As the clouds fade out, leaving off a space background, the transmitter starts shooting signals and lightning bolts, which loop for the entire logo. The text

as well as a mirrored stretched lightning bolt behind the text appears in front of the globe as the logo zooms out.

Technique: Cel animation.

Audio: An ascending UFO-like sound and a 3-note high-pitched sound repeating.

Availability: Can be seen on some films released by them, such as Moses.
