Background

Atmosphere Pictures MM is Mark Canton's production company, founded in 2003 after the closure of The Canton Company.

Logo (March 19, 2004-)

Visuals: On a black background, six stars fade in one-by-one and shine. Then, with the stars staying in place, an image fades in of an evening sky with a hill below. Two silhouetted men are on the hill, one standing up and one sitting down. Underneath is the text "atmosphere" (the "m" has three arcs), with "pictures mm" below that. The stars continue to shine.

Variants:

  • A still version exists.
  • Beginning with Piranha 3D, "entertainment" replaces "pictures".
  • On television shows, the name reads "atmosphere television" with the "mm" absent.
  • At the end of 300, Immortals, and 300: Rise of an Empire, only the name is seen, boxed in.
  • On Land of the Dead, the logo is in grayscale with an old photograph effect.

Technique: 2D digital animation.

Audio: None or the opening/closing theme of the movie/show.

Availability: The animated logo was seen on Land of the Dead and Full of It, while the still variant was seen on Taking Lives, The Spiderwick Chronicles, and Piranha 3D, among others. The television logo appears on Power as well as its spin-offs.
