Background

River Road Entertainment is a American film production company founded by Bill Pohlad in 1987.

1st Logo (December 9, 2005-November 10, 2006)

Visuals: A car is seen turning over a night road. The camera zooms out and the picture brightens, revealing a big river with the mentioned road on its left bank. This becomes enclosed inside a square as "R I V E R R O A D", in black with a teal outline, and "E N T E R T A I N M E N T", in a teal-silver gradient, appear inside and below the square respectively. "R I V E R R O A D" is placed over the river.

Technique: CGI.

Audio: Car engine sounds followed by a deep string entry.

Availability: It was seen on Brokeback Mountain, A Prairie Home Companion and Fur: An Imaginary Portrait of Diane Arbus.

2nd Logo (January 18, 2007-)

Visuals: The logo starts in the same way, with the car turning over the night road. The road then transforms into a river landscape (the same one as the previous logo). The car lights stay for a second, move, then dissolve. The company name uses the same design as before, but they are all in black, placed over the river. There are also no outlines, and the logo fills the screen throughout.

Technique: CGI.

Audio: The sounds of a metallic creek or none.

Availability: It can be seen on Lust, Caution, Into the Wild and Food, Inc., among others.
