Background

Whizz Kid Entertainment is a British company that was founded in 2006 by Malcolm Gettrie, who was also founder of Initial, and former head of Endemol UK specializes in capturing festivals, concerts and reality shows. In 2018 it was acquired by Canadian-based media company Entertainment One which was later brought by American toy company Hasbro in late 2019. It was later acquired by Lionsgate in 2023.

Logo (2007- )

Visuals: On a black background, there is a gray spotlight with the text "WHIZZ KID" with the word "E N T E R T A I N M E N T" shown below the logo. The right side of the text opens like a jack-in-the-box, with a red star inside, which bounces over to the logo.

Byline: Starting in 2018, the byline "an entertainment One company" is shown below the logo with the Entertainment One logo in its corporate font.

  • Sometimes, the logo is shared with other logos.
  • Sometimes, a print version of the logo is used.

Technique: CGI.

Audio: A cartoonish bouncing sound with a machinery sound as the jack-in-the-box opens. Sometimes, it is silent or has the ending theme playing over.

Availability: Seen at the end of such programs and documentaries, like Ex on the Beach, including its international adaptations, George Michael: Road to Wembley, Elton's New Year Party: Live from The O2, and U2: 360 At The Rose Bowl.
