Background

Carolco Television Productions was the television production production/distribution division of Carolco Pictures. On September 17, 1991, Carolco Television Productions was sold to Multimedia, Inc. who renamed it to "Multimedia Television Productions".

Logo (May 13, 1990-1991)

Visuals: The original 1988 logo is fully formed, shining and zooming out as usual. Once completed, the words "TELEVISION PRODUCTIONS" fade off-center under the logo.

Variants:

  • On Shattered Dreams, the logo begins with the screen "A ROGER GIMBEL PRODUCTION FOR" in the same font as the company name, then it fades to the logo. In this case, "TELEVISION PRODUCTIONS" is fully centered.
  • Another version just has "TELEVISION" below.

Technique: CGI animation.

Audio: The last part of the 1988 Carolco Pictures fanfare or the closing theme of the movie.

Availability:

  • It was seen on Shattered Dreams (available on Prime Video and also on VHS and DVD) and on the Turner Home Entertainment VHS release of the TV movie Chernobyl: The Final Warning.
  • The version with "Television" was seen at the end of a syndicated print of Maid to Order, released by The Vista Organization, including an Encore Love airing, and it also appeared on an old TNT airing of Return of the Living Dead as well.
  • It was also seen on old television prints of other Hemdale films as well, including The Terminator (1984).
  • The Worldvision logo may also appear after this logo.
  • It is unknown if this appeared on original U.S. airings of Tracks of Glory.
