Background

Equity Pictures GmbH & Co. KG (formerly Equity Pictures AG) was a german film financing company. They had close ties to Millennium Media, whom funded their films since 2005. Equity appears to be dormant as of 2013.

1st Logo (2003-2005)


Visuals: A dot of light appears and moves to the right. Then, three curved blue lines wipe in, and the dot transforms into the letter "I", as the text "E Q U T Y", with "P I C T U R E S" below it, wipes in.

Variant: On The Chumscrubber, the logo plays in reverse.

Technique: 2D animation.

Audio: None or the opening theme of the movie.

Availability: Seen on Elvis Has Left the Building, Mozart and the Whales, Hostage and The Chumscrubber, among others.

2nd Logo (2005-2013)


Visuals: Three blue lines come into the screen, curve and zoom out. The company name, in the same text style as the previous logo, zooms out, and the logo glows.

Variant: On 16 Blocks, the logo fades in as the lines curve.

Technique: CGI.

Audio: Same as the previous logo. 16 Blocks uses the closing theme.

Availability: Seen on Journey to the End of the Night, The Wicker Man, 88 Minutes and the 2008 reboot of Rambo. It also appears at the end of 16 Blocks.
