Background

FNM Films was the TV movie production arm of 20th Century Fox Television. FNM was an acronym for "Fox Network Movies".

Logo (November 26, 1990-August 16, 1993)

Visuals: On a gradient sky-like background, there are the words "FNM" in a large 3D font, squished to the right. "FILMS" is seen below with the line in between in the same style. There are three searchlights moving behind it. One searchlight moves from the left to the right in front of the name.

Variant: On Hi Honey - I'm Dead, the logo is still, inverted and in black and white. This is only seen on some prints of the movie; others have the standard logo.

Technique: 2D computer animation.

Audio: None. However, it has used a synth fanfare with a drum roll. Sometimes, it's the closing theme of the TV movie. On Revenge of the Nerds III, it's Lewis's (played by Robert Carradine) unique laugh.

Availability:

  • This was seen on some continuations of previous movies by Fox such as Revenge of the Nerds III: The Next Generation and Omen IV: The Awakening, and some TV movies such as The Sitter, Dead Silence, The Haunted, Bad Attitudes, and The Tower, among others.
  • Most of them are out of print by now, and now the 20th Television logo precedes or plasters this logo.
  • However, this logo is retained on Revenge of the Nerds III: The Next Generation on FX Movie Channel, followed by the 1989 TCFTV logo.
