Background
Eros Films Limited was a British film distribution and production company. It operated from May 1947 to June 1961 and was founded by brothers Philip, Sydney, and Michael Hyams. Eros Films distributed American films in the UK, but also financed and distributed British independent film productions. Later, Eros Films would also co-produce several films. The company declared bankruptcy in 1961. Most, if not all of Eros Films's output now sits with MGM's library.
