Background

Kripke Enterprises is the production company of Eric Kripke, the creator of Supernatural. Its name and logo are derived from his family's scrap metal brokerage business, also named Kripke Enterprises.

1st Logo (September 13, 2005-May 4, 2006)

Visuals: On a coffee background, there is a simple blue drawing of the recycle sign, turned upside down. The 3 letters "KEI" are arranged inside, and "KRIPKE ENTERPRISES" is seen below. There is a byline reading "Scrap Metal & Entertainment" below the company name.

Technique: A still, digital graphic.

Audio: An iron-like noise.

Availability: Seen on the first season of Supernatural.

2nd Logo (September 28, 2006-May 18, 2012)

Visuals: There is a new version of the first logo, redone in 3D and blue. The name uses a different font and the byline is written in one line. The logo appears in a flash and quickly zoom in. Then it shines.

Technique: CGI animation.

Audio: Same as the 1st logo, albeit the whoosh sounds were added.

Availability: Seen on season 2-7 episodes of Supernatural.

3rd Logo (September 17, 2012-)

Visuals: The current brown Kripke logo is printed to the stone surface and slowly zooms in.

Variant: On Timeless, the logo is still and is in the center of a box with the MiddKid Productions logo on the left and the Davis Entertainment logo on the right, on a black background.

Technique: CGI animation by Filmograph.

Audio: A mechanical-like stamp sound, then flame sounds.

Audio Variants:

  • Sometimes, the ending theme plays it over.
  • On Supernatural, the ending theme accompanies the sounds.

Availability: Seen on The Boys and its spin-off Gen V. Also seen on Revolution, seasons 8-15 of Supernatural and Timeless.
