Background

This is the production company of Jason Katims. The company name comes from Katims' beloved family dog, Jack.

1st Logo (March 2, 2010-January 22, 2013)

Visuals: On a background of rolling green grass and a cloudy blue sky, there is a long-haired brown dog (likely that of Katims' dog Jack) glancing to the left as he then turns to face the camera. Over the dog's head, there is the company name in gray with a dark gradient going underneath it below.

Technique: Live action.

Audio: A four-note calypso-like chime sound ending with two squeak sounds.

Availability: Seen on the first four seasons of Parenthood (the 2010 series).

2nd Logo (September 26, 2013-)

Visuals: On a white background, there is a black-and-white ocean with a black border around it, as a black dog runs against it. The picture then freezes as the company name zooms in below.

Trivia: The picture is actually that of Jason Katims' dog Jack and his daughter Phoebe joyfully running together on the beach, although Phoebe is edited out. According to Katims, the photo was one that he always loved, and Phoebe was excited about using the image, until she realized that she had been completely edited out, something that she still hasn't forgiven Katims for.

Variants:

A still version exists.
It sometimes shares the screen with other logos.
On Almost Family, the animation cuts off early.

Technique: 2D digital animation.

Audio: A relaxing guitar tune followed by two dog barks. Sometimes, it's silent.

Availability: First seen on the last two seasons of Parenthood and later appeared on The Path, About a Boy, Pure Genius, Rise, Almost Family, Away, As We See It, and Dear Edward.
