Background

This is the production company of Philippe Martinez.

1st Logo (September 12, 2003)

Visuals: The camera pushes through a starry background. After a few seconds, the letters in the name "BauerMartinez" fly in from different corners of the screen. When they form the name, the screen flashes. Then, "STUDIOS" wipes in and a purple shield appears behind the name. A lens flare shines throughout.

Technique: CGI.

Audio: A timpani and a deep string note, followed by an 11-note trumpet fanfare. This was composed by Guy Farley.

Availability: Seen on Citizen Verdict.

2nd Logo (October 18, 2004-March 14, 2006)

Visuals: On a space background, there is an object below that resembles a planet's surface. An arc and light rays can be seen above the object. The object rises, revealing a blue shield with "BauerMartinez STUDIOS" on it. The logo shines.

Technique: CGI.

Audio: Same as the 1st logo.

Availability: Can be found on Modigliani, House of 9, Irish Jam, and Wake of Death, among others.

3rd Logo (May 5, 2005-November 8, 2007)

Visuals: A giant, Hollywood-styled gate is seen with the name "BAUER MARTINEZ STUDIOS" above in Eagle Bold. The gates open, revealing a biplane riding the red carpet with palms and searchlights visible. The plane takes off into the twilight sky which is lit by the searchlights. The plane flies towards the screen, resulting in a flash of light, revealing a static image of the plane and its pilot, with "BAUER MARTINEZ" above and "STUDIOS" below, again in Eagle Bold. The logo shines.

Variants:

  • On some movies, "ENTERTAINMENT" replaces "STUDIOS" on the finished logo.
  • On The Flock, the logo is still and the name is shortened to "B•M•E".

Technique: CGI.

Audio: A repeated 4-piano melody is heard throughout. Then as the plane takes off, the music swells. The sound of gates opening and the plane's motor is heard throughout. When the flash of light occurs, a cymbal crash and an orchestral hit are heard, ending with a deep string note. This was composed by Mark S. Affeld.

Audio Variant: On the still variant, the full logo's audio is heard, sound effects and all.

Availability: Can be seen on I Could Never Be Your Woman, Harsh Times, Van Wilder: The Rise of Taj, Welcome to the Jungle, Land of the Blind, and The Groomsmen, among others. Used in tandem with the previous logo.
