Background

Lark Productions is a Canadian television production company that was established in 2010 by Louise Clark. The company produced scripted and unscripted shows like the Canadian editions of Bravo's The Real Housewives franchise and in 2014 NBCUniversal International Television Production (now Universal International Studios) acquired a stake in the company and they current signed a first look deal in the studio.

1st Logo (2012-2019)


Visuals: There is a blue rectangular box on a black background then a light yellow bird flies in and it zooms out to form "lark" one by one with the last one being the bird turning into the letter "k" and the word "PRODUCTIONS" is seen at the right and stacked.

Variants:

  • An early version exists where it just slides to the right.
  • A still version exists.
  • On original ABC airings of Motive, the logo is next to the Foundation Features logo.

Technique: 2D computer animation.

Audio: The flapping sound of the bird and the sound of a bird with a calm theme, the ending theme of the show or none.

Availability: It was seen on their shows until 2020 such as The Real Housewives of Vancouver, Motive and Paramedics: Life on the Line. It also appeared on the movie High Moon which they co-produced it with Universal Cable Productions (now Universal Content Productions) another NBCUniversal division.

2nd Logo (2020- )


Visuals: On a light blue background is a sketch version of a bird and next to it has a line then it form into the letter "l" as the bird's head moves. Then the letter moves to the left to form "lark" from the first logo then it changes into a gradient white background with the text turning light blue.

Variant: A shortened version exists.

Technique: 2D sketchwork animation.

Audio: Bird chirping with a click sound or the ending theme of the show.

Availability: So far, this was seen on Fortunate Son and Family Law.
