Background

Archie Comics is an American comic book publisher headquartered in Pelham, New York, which is founded in 1939. The company's many titles feature the fictional teenagers Archie Andrews, Jughead Jones, Betty Cooper, Veronica Lodge, Reggie Mantle, Sabrina Spellman, Josie and the Pussycats and Katy Keene.

Logo (October 12, 2013-December 7, 2023)

Visuals: On a white background, there is the face of the company's mascot, Archie Andrews in a circle with the word "Archie COMICS" underneath. Then the mascot changes into Archie's face from the July 2015 comic cover (illustrated by Fiona Staples).

Variants:

  • On Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, Archie changes into a vampire-like appearance of Sabrina Spellman (as seen in the comics' front cover, illustrated by Robert Hack) and the circle is red.
  • A still version without the circle appeared on Sabrina: Secrets of a Teenage Witch where the word "Archie" is red and yellow.
  • On the Indian film adaptation of The Archies, the logo in the center of the screen on a black background. Behind the logo is Archie standing with Betty and Veronica.

Technique: 2D animation. A digital graphic for the still variants.

Audio: A happy three-note tune (composed by Blake Neely) accompanied with the sounds of paper, which were later removed. The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina variant uses a swoosh. The Sabrina: Secrets of a Teenage Witch variant has the ending theme. For The Archies, the logo is silent.

Availability: First seen on Sabrina: Secrets of a Teenage Witch. It then later appeared on Riverdale, Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, Katy Keene, and the 2023 Indian film adaptation of The Archies.
