Background

Mattel Entertainment was the former production arm of Mattel along with Mattel Studios and Mattel Playground Productions. In 2016, the company was absorbed into Mattel Creations (now Mattel Television).

1st Logo (2000s-2016)

Visuals: On a white background, the Mattel logo slides and zooms in until it reaches a comfortable position.

Variants:

  • Sometimes, the logo is still. Sometimes, the Mattel logo would be still and inside a square on a black background. One variant of this has the words "In association with" above the logo on a black background, it was seen on The Music in You, a bonus feature on the DVD of Barbie of Swan Lake.
  • An in-credit version exists.
  • Sometimes, there are ®/TM symbols next to the logo.

Technique: The logo sliding and zooming, or none. [possible misuse]

Audio: The ending theme, or none.

Availability:

  • Can be found on Barbie: Star Light Adventure and Barbie & Her Sisters in a Puppy Chase.
  • The still version on a white background can be found on PollyWorld, My Scene: Masquerade Madness, and Dancing on Air - The Making of Barbie in The 12 Dancing Princesses (with a copyright notice), on a white square on a black background on Imaginext: Fortress of the Dragon, Polly Pocket: Lunar Eclipse, and Polly Pocket: 2 Cool at the Pocket Plaza, and on a black background on My Scene Goes Hollywood: The Movie and The Barbie Diaries, among others.
  • The in-credit version is seen on the Barbie: Dreamtopia movie, which can be found on the DVD release of Barbie: Star Light Adventure.

2nd Logo (2010s)

Visuals: Over a black background is the Mattel logo on its side, spinning. The logo then rotates and slowly stops spinning, stopping in the logo's normal position. Copyright info fades in below.

Variant: A still version exists without any copyright notice.

Technique: The logo spinning and rotating, or none. [possible misuse]

Audio: None, or the ending theme.

Availability: The animated version can be found on Monster High: New Ghoul at School. The still version appears on some of the other Monster High movies, as well as the 2011-2016 web series Polly Pocket.
