Background

Brentwood Kids Company is the children's division of Brentwood Music.

Logo (1990-1996)

Visuals: On a black background, there are the laughing heads of four children. From left to right, there is a boy with black hair, a blonde pigtailed girl, a brunette boy wearing a purple cap, and a girl with black bangs and a pink flower clip. Each child disappear and are replaced with a stylized letter in "KIDS". After that, "Company" in a white, cursive font and a blue rectangle flips in underneath, followed by "BRENTWOOD" inside a white rectangle with a blue outline on top. After several seconds, the logo zooms in and disintegrates.

Trivia: The children's heads are sourced from an image of them singing, which can be found at the beginning of the Kids Sing Praise video series and on the cover of the Brentwood Kids Company Sampler tape.

Variant: A shortened variant exists, beginning at when the logo is formed.

Technique: 2D animation.

Audio: A wacky high-pitched, cartoony jingle with squeezing. It stops when "Company" flips in; at this point, there are two different sounds of a door creaking and a slam in sync with the animation. The logo ends with a rendition of "Shave and a Haircut" with the same instruments from earlier and a child's laugh.

Availability: Appears on Christian music video VHS releases aimed at children such as reprints of the Kids Sing Praise and The Sing-Along Bible Songs Show series of tapes. The shortened variant appears on Wake Up, You Sleepyhead!. Before this logo was introduced, tapes such as the first two volumes of Kids Sing Praise simply used the Brentwood Music logo at the start.
