Background

Mercury Filmworks is an animation company based in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. The company was founded in 1997.

1st Logo (February 1999)

Visuals: There is a scribbled, lightened portion of a moon to the left and a smaller crescent moon on the top center. Underneath the top center moon is "MERCURY filmworks" All of this is against a curved, grid background.

Technique: Digital graphic.

Audio: The opening theme of the game.

Availability: Only seen on the PC game Rockett's First Dance.

2nd Logo (January 4-December 22, 2005)

Visuals: On a bluish gray smoky background with a grid tunnel, several dark, cubic pieces fly and form together two spheres with outlines with one larger than the other. The background fades to black and the shot of the spheres crossfade into the similar-looking moons from before inside an upside-down triangle containing a grid and a grayish blue gradient. On top is the same text from before now stacked.

Technique: CGI.

Audio: The end theme of the show.

Availability: Only seen on Mischief City.

3rd Logo (October 30, 2006-March 18, 2008)

Visuals: On a dark blue gradient background consisting of four spheres emerging from a large, radial hole with circular grid outlines is the Mercury Filmworks logo from the previous logo, except the logo is smaller and on the bottom right with "MERCURY" on the left and "filmworks" on the right.

Audio: The end theme of the show.

Availability: Only seen on Weird Years and Wilbur.

4th Logo (November 16, 2008-June 7, 2014)

Visuals: On a black background, there is a big gold bubble. Some smaller bubbles fly out of it that either disappear, pop or go off screen. This shakes the big bubble. One of the smaller ones slowly flies up from the top right of the big one and stops just above there. A picture of a child throwing a paper plane appears from a smoke effect, with the child appearing on the big bubble and the paper plane appearing on the bottom half of the smaller one and on the black background. The bubbles turn into normal circles, and the stacked white text "MERCURY FILMWORKS" fades in below, with "MERCURY" in a large bold font and "FILMWORKS" in a smaller and thinner font.

Variants:

A more common version exists where the logo is shortened and sped up.
2 still in-credit versions exist. One is the normal finished logo, and the other has the circles on the left and the text on the right, which would later be reused for the next logo. A version of this exists with white circles.

Audio: The end theme of the show or film.

Availability: The shortened/sped up variant can be found on Toot & Puddle and Team Hot Wheels: The Origin of Awesome. The normal in-credit version appears on Jimmy Two-Shoes and Producing Parker. The other one appears on Stella and Sam, as well as on the previously mentioned Team Hot Wheels: The Origin of Awesome for the white circles variant.

5th Logo (November 4, 2015-October 14, 2021)

Visuals: Same as the 2nd in-credit variant of the previous logo, except it is on a black background, the big circle is cut into 2 halves without any filling, the circle around the paper plane is removed and the logo is still.

Variants:

As with the previous logo, 2 in-credit versions exist (again normal and white).
Season 2 of If You Give a Mouse a Cookie has a custom variation where Mouse is seen throwing a paper airplane. The airplane twirls and stops right by the child's grasping arm to which the rodent cheers.

Availability: Currently appears on Hilda on Netflix and If You Give a Mouse a Cookie on Amazon Prime. The normal in-credit version appears on Atomic Puppet, and the white variant can be found on Legend of the Three Caballeros.
