Background
Discovery Kids was rebranded into The Hub in 2010 as a joint venture between Discovery and Hasbro. The Hub was renamed to Hub Network in 2013, and was rebranded again into Discovery Family in 2014.
1st Logo (October 10, 2010-January 13, 2014)
Visuals: On a gradient purple background is a silver orb with the word "hub" appearing in purple and on the silver orb with the whole logo later shines.
Variants:
- Starting in September 2013, a silver orb now quickly zooms out and the word "NETWORK" pops up appears below the logo letter by letter.
- There is a long version of this logo also exists; here, on a black background, there is the silver orb with the same word on it zooming into the screen with the logo later zooms out and the background changes into purple with the normal animation playing as usual afterwards.
Technique: CGI by Troika Design Group.
Audio: None.
Availability: The version without the word "NETWORK" can be seen on 2010-2013 episodes of Family Game Night, while the version with the word "NETWORK" is seen on the last three episodes of The Aquabats! Super Show!.
2nd Logo (January 13-October 13, 2014)
Visuals: Against a dark red background, there is the yellow Hub Network logo without the word "neTwOrK". The right side from the bottom moves up to the center when the dark red background changes to purple and moves up, then changes to a dark blue background, then back to purple when the blue Hub Network logo appears in the center, then the yellow Hub Network logo disappears, and the blue Hub Network logo changes to the original Hub Network logo, with the purple and blue Hub Network logos appearing on the top and bottom, then the purple and blue Hub Network logos disappearing when the original Hub Network logo zooms in. The Hub Network logo zooms out twice, with the word "neTwOrK" zooms out twice below.
Technique: 2D animation by Oishii Creative.
Audio: A four-note guitar theme.
Availability: Seen on Hub Network shows such as season five of Family Game Night.
