1st Logo (1985-1999)


Visuals: On a periwinkle background, a white dot appears. After a few seconds, the words VIEW VIDEO, in a CG Omega-like font, appear, with the white dot dotting the I in VIEW (the words are also positioned counter-clockwise). After a few more seconds, a fan "unfolds" around the white dot, and fills itself in with rainbow colors. Then the rainbow colors in the fan spin around. Then the whole thing shrinks to half its size, scoots to the left on a blue background, and brings forth the words "Presenting the Best", along with the words "Jazz & Pop Music", "Fine Arts", "Health & Fitness", and "Family Programs". The words stay there for a few seconds, then it cuts to the company's address. Then the VIEW VIDEO animation slowly takes up the whole screen again and the word PRESENTS appears below VIDEO. It fades out, and the whole thing zooms away with a "dissolve" effect.

Technique: All the chyron effects in the logo.

Audio: A jazzy tune with drums and the occasional brass riff.

2nd Logo (1999- )


Visuals: The logo starts with part of Earth in space, then what looks like a star (which is actually a dot) slowly appears from behind earth, zooming toward the camera, then stops, flashes, and then the rainbow colors appear surrounding the dot, then the words "VIEW VIDEO" appear below the dot and colors.

Technique: 2D computer animation.

Audio: A dreamy space theme.

Availability: Unknown.
