Background

This was a home releasing division of Overseas Filmgroup, which changed its name to "First Look Media" in 2001. Prior to 2001, the First Look Pictures logo was used as a home video logo.

1st Logo (October 16, 2001-2002)

Visuals: On a black background, there is a print version of the First Look Media logo, inside the amber rectangle and with "HOME ENTERTAINMENT" below.

Technique: A still, digital graphic.

Audio: None.

Availability: Appeared on the original release of Soulkeeper and probably on other VHS tapes and DVDs from the era.

2nd Logo (2002-2006)

Visuals: There is light blinks on a small glass sphere. It zooms out and being cut in half, along with the distorted triangle to the left. The words "FIRST LOOK HOME ENTERTAINMENT" with the byline "A DIVISION OF FIRST LOOK MEDIA" appear below.

Technique: Live-action and CGI.

Audio: Soft chime bell sounds.

Availability: Can be seen on home video releases by First Look Media from the era, shuch as the 2005 DVD release of Convicted.

3rd Logo (2006-2008)

Visuals: There is an image of a sea at sunrise with clouds moving. Then, the area around the screen darkens, and a bright flash occurs as it goes into an image of a green eye. The lens flare moves off to the right as "FIRST LOOK HOME ENTERTAINMENT" fades in above and below, respectively.

Technique: Live-action and CGI.

Audio: A short piano tune that ends in a five-note orchestral fanfare.

Availability: It can be seen on home video releases from this era until 2008.

Final Note

Starting in 2008, home video releases from First Look Media used the normal First Look Studios logo until 2010.
