Disney Blu-ray

Logo (November 6, 2007-August 12, 2014)

Visuals: Over a starry sky background, the logo starts with several colorful fireworks, in the same vein as the 2006 Walt Disney Pictures logo, exploding. Then the animation of the Disney castle from the movie logo plays, then zooms away, and "DiSNEY", in the corporate signature font, zooms out from the bottom of the screen. A few seconds later, smaller text is written near the bottom of the screen, which reads "Blu-ray Disc", then two blue boomerangs appear. The slogan "MAGIC IN HIGH DEFINITION" fades in under it.

Technique: CGI, some of which being borrowed from the 2006 Walt Disney Pictures logo.

Audio: The sound of fireworks exploding, whistling, and cracking. At the end, there is a low synthesized chord, similar to the 2000 Lionsgate Home Entertainment logo.

Availability: Seen on Disney movies released on Blu-ray starting with Ratatouille, among others, until 2014, when Disney started using the same logo as their DVDs. Early and post-2014 releases go to the warnings after pressing play on the menu like this for example.

Disney Blu-ray 3D

Logo (2010s)

Visuals: Over a starry sky background, the logo starts with several colorful fireworks exploding, just like the previous logo. After that, three fireworks forming the shape of Mickey Mouse as the stars fall down to form the stylized "3D" logo (which has the Disney "D" symbol in the letter D) in blue, then "Blu-ray" flies in above.

Technique: CGI animation.

Audio: A majestic orchestral fanfare accompanied by the firework sounds, ending with the first four notes of "When You Wish Upon a Star" and a four-note dramatic orchestral tune. Composed by Machine Head.

Availability: It was supposed to be used for the Blu-ray releases of Disney movies in 3D, but it was scrapped. However, this logo can be found on Machine Head's Vimeo account (which was uploaded on April 2nd, 2013).
