Background

Lollipop Video was the children's home video branch of Thames Video.

Logo (1980's-1990's)


Visuals: On a black background, there is a red rectangle with a white border. Inside the rectangle is the text "Lollipop" and next to it are three lollipops (one blue, one yellow and one green). The screen flips, changing the colours of the rectangle and lollipops. The screen flips again, showing the normal logo.

Technique: Computer animation.

Audio: A somber synth tune.

Availability: Appears on some children's UK VHS releases from the 1980s to the 1990s.

  • These include the 1989 UK VHS releases of Scooby-Doo Meets the Boo Brothers (1987), The Good, The Bad and Huckleberry Hound (1988), The Wind In The Willows: Mole's Cousin and Other Stories, Lollipop Children's Favourites Vol. 4, and Asterix and Cleopatra (1989 re-release), among others.
