I believe we plagiarized and not the other way around because of the redundant "seen on the trailer" (without specifying which trailer, and flowing weirdly on a page where the trailer variants are separated from the main ones unlike the other wiki) text I removed. These are the logo variations used on trailers throughout the years by Walt Disney Pictures, with more to be added over time.
Pinocchio (1940, 2009 reissue):
- The 2007 home video logo appears, but after a few seconds, the camera pans up to the sky.
Dumbo (1941, 2011 reissue):
- Mr. Stork flies over the 2007 home video logo. The sparkles around the text are also missing.
Sleeping Beauty (1959, 1995 reissue):
- The castle fades to a picturesque shot of the castle from the film when the flash reveals "Walt Disney".
The Sword in the Stone (1963, 1986 reissue):
- The logo is deeply saturated in blue, a la Hocus Pocus (1993).
Mary Poppins (1964, 2013 reissue):
- The 2006 logo has the city of London as a backdrop.
The Aristocats (1970, 2011 reissue):
- The 2006 logo is shown with multicolored music notes coming from the gate. After that, the camera flies through the gate.
The Little Mermaid (1989):
- The international trailer and a TV spot for the film has bubbles floating in front of the logo.
- The 1997 reissue's trailer has the logo flashing like lighting after the curved line is drawn.
- The Blu-ray release's trailer has the 2006 logo rippling into a scene of Atlantica.
The Big Green (1995):
- On the VHS trailer, the 1991 Walt Disney Home Video logo plays, but it has a green background and runs at a slightly longer length.
Flubber (1997):
- The 1983 blue "WALT DISNEY PICTURES" logo is used, but it gets taken by an inanimate flubber.
Hercules (1997):
- On the first TV spot, the logo plays as normal, but then the castle fades into Mt. Olympus. (Notice that the word "Pictures" is in a different font, than usual.)
- The arc and text are placed on the Earth in the second TV spot. ----
The Parent Trap (1998):
- There are two dots that draw the curved line instead of just one. Later appears on the teaser trailer for My Favorite Martian (1999).
I'll Be Home for Christmas (1998):
- Snowflakes fall during the logo.
Tarzan (1999):
- The Walt Disney script logo, with the word "PICTURES" below (with a line above it), is orange and on a jungle background.
Inspector Gadget (1999):
- The whole 1985 logo is in 3D, but much like the logo from the movie itself, a gear takes the turn of the white curved line. Seen on the teaser trailer.
- On another teaser trailer, after the flash, the logo flashes into negative and blue twice while drawing the curve line.
- On the theatrical trailer, the logo gets wiped out by Inspector Gadget. For the home video trailer, the logo is replaced by the 1998 Walt Disney Home Video logo.
My Favorite Martian (1999):
- On the theatrical trailer and TV spots, the curved line appears in the form of lightning.
Toy Story 2 (1999):
- The 1995 logo is seen on a TV screen amongst other random Pixar clips, just like the channel-surfing scene in the movie.
102 Dalmatians (2000):
- On the teaser trailer, there's a special logo which has the Walt Disney Pictures logo from the Tarzan movie trailer variant on a watery background, at a backwards version of a 20th Century Studios-style angle.
The Emperor's New Groove (2000):
- The logo appears on a black background, with the castle in orange and the "Walt Disney" script in white, and without the "PICTURES" text, before the camera zooms into the castle entrance as Kuzco (voiced by David Spade) kicks the doors open, shouting his catchphrase "BOOM, baby!"
Atlantis: The Lost Empire (2001):
- Same as the movie itself.
Recess: School's Out (2001):
- On the theatrical trailer, the logo is tinted darker.
Max Keeble's Big Move (2001):
- On the teaser trailer, the logo is written in chalk on the sidewalk of Max Keeble's school. Also, the word "PICTURES" is omitted.
Monsters, Inc. (2001):
- On the teaser trailer, the logo turns dark. This also happens on an old trailer for Finding Nemo.
- On another trailer, the logo is seen on the Monsters Inc. scare counter, along with the Pixar logo.
The Santa Clause 2 (2002):
- On the teaser trailer, an in-credit text is used instead of the regular logo, with a line in between "WALT DISNEY" and "PICTURES". Also, the logo zooms out on a dark blue background and it is snowing on the logo.
Lilo & Stitch (2002):
- On one TV spot, the logo is the same as in the film, but then Stitch licks the logo off.
Treasure Planet (2002):
- On the teaser trailer, the white logo is on a space background and the white curved line deforms into the orbiting station Crescentia.
- On a TV spot, the animated logo appears on a sail of the RLS Legacy.
Piglet's Big Movie (2003):
- On the theatrical trailer, the logo is tinted in lavender-pink on a pink background. Then, Piglet enters from the left and pulls a string which reveals the title of the movie.
The Lizzie McGuire Movie (2003):
- The flashlight logo is on a brown curtain. The curtain then opens to start the trailer.
The Haunted Mansion (2003):
- On the teaser trailer, as the line draws on the logo, the lightning strikes turning the castle into the mansion, and the text turns into smoke and flies out.
- On a different teaser trailer, the 1983 logo is silver and is on a blue aurora background with the word "FROM" above the logo.
- On another trailer, the logo appears engraved on a tombstone without the arc.
- On a TV spot, the text and curved line take place on the mansion, which replaces the castle. Also the curved line is big and off center.
Brother Bear (2003):
- On the teaser trailer, the logo appears on a cave wall.
- On another trailer, the 2000 logo fades in and moves like the aurora borealis in the background before fading from view.
Miracle (2004):
- The logo is seen in blue and superimposed over the light of a film projector.
Around the World in 80 Days (2004):
- The logo is in aureolin with the "Walt Disney" script in sky blue and on a cloudy background. Also, the logo is in 3D.
Home on the Range (2004):
- On the teaser trailer, the variant used in the film is already formed on leather and the spark is on fire (although looking slightly different).
- On another trailer, the regular variant used in the film is used.
Teacher's Pet (2004):
- Same as the movie itself, but it zooms onto the theater screen at the movie theater.
Pooh's Heffalump Movie (2005):
- On the teaser trailer, the logo is yellow and on a lavender background.
- On the first trailer, it's exactly like the teaser variant, but it's orange instead and it's on a violet background.
- On the TV spot, the dot draws an outline of the heffalump.
Ice Princess (2005):
- The logo is tinted in blue on the ice at the Olympic-like stage.
Herbie: Fully Loaded (2005):
- The logo is orange with the "Walt Disney" script and the word "PICTURES" in blue/white gradient and on a dandelion yellow background with red and blue 3D stars swirling around.
Chicken Little (2005):
- On one trailer, the castle is liquid and is on a starry background.
- On another trailer, the "filmed" version of the logo is used instead of the "videotaped" version and the background is Persian blue.
- On the international trailer, the closing variant from said film is used.
- On a TV spot, the variant used in the film is played in warpspeed.
- On another TV spot, the 2000 Walt Disney Pictures logo is seen on a TV screen.
The Santa Clause 3: The Escape Clause (2006):
- The 1985 logo is green and put on the background of a town.
National Treasure: Book of Secrets (2007) and Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time (2010):
- The logo is sepia-toned.
- On a home video trailer for the former title, the 2007 home video logo is used, except, it is zoomed in further than usual, and the text is smaller than usual. It flashes once.
Enchanted (2007):
- The 2006 logo fades in, but then a star (which represents Tinker Bell) flies as the camera zooms into the top of the castle.
Tinker Bell (2008):
- The logo is on a daytime sky background, and the green grass replaces the river and the dark blue grass. Only on the TV Spot.
G-Force (2009):
- It's the same as the Alice in Wonderland variant from the film itself.
The Boys: The Sherman Brothers' Story (2009):
- The text zooms in when it appears.
Space Buddies (2009, DTV):
- The 2007 home video logo is on a starry background and the "Disney" text glows as the camera pans up. The sparkles around the text are also absent.
The Princess and the Frog (2009):
- The logo transforms into a sketch on paper.
Ponyo (2009):
- The logo transitions into an underwater scene, with fish swimming by.
- Another trailer has the 2007 home video logo rippling after a few seconds.
Tron: Legacy (2010):
- On the first trailer, the standard logo fades in as the line is drawn over the castle and the logo is still zooming out. Also, the text zooms in like in 3D, and then the logo turns dark and appears computerized.
- On the second trailer, the variant in the movie is seen in its finished form.
- On the other initial trailer, the standard logo's shade becomes greenish blue and everything is computerized.
The Search for Santa Paws (2010):
- The 2007 home video logo is shown, but the castle is decorated with Christmas lights, the sky is darker, and the text glows.
Toy Story 3 (2010):
- The logo is cropped to 4:3 and taped on a camcorder.
Anaganaga o Dheerudu (2011, India):
- The logo has a yellowish tint to it
Prom (2011):
- The castle shines like a disco ball.
Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides (2011):
- On a TV spot, the castle is on a map.
Cars 2 (2011):
- On the LEGO version of the 2nd trailer, the whole logo is made out of bricks. Also, the sky is different. This was made by Patrick Bovin.
The Muppets (2011):
- On one of the trailers for the film, Kermit and Animal look at the already-formed logo (in its 2011 version; albeit with the text being slightly large). Kermit says "Would ya look at that?", then Animal shakes his head and laughs.
Spooky Buddies (2011, DTV):
- The logo takes place in nighttime with a stormy background. The full moon is also visible, and the text is in its 2007 form.
Treasure Buddies (2012, DTV):
- The castle is placed in the middle of a desert. It then fades as if it were a mirage. The "Disney" text is also on its corporate font and is in metallic.
John Carter (2012):
- On the Super Bowl spot, it is similar to the Mars Needs Moms variant, but without "Walt" and "PICTURES".
- A TV spot uses the National Treasure: Book of Secrets and Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time variants, but without "Walt" and "PICTURES".
- A TV spot advertising the DVD/Blu-ray releases has the 2011 logo on an alien planet.
Frankenweenie (2012):
- Some trailers have the same variant as the movie, starting with the arc forming. On TV spots, "Disney" is in green with the same logo as in the movie. On one TV spot, the castle has a green glow inside it while "Disney" is mostly in the same green hue. The rest of the logo is black and white.
Secret of the Wings (2012):
- The logo transitions into a winter theme.
The Odd Life of Timothy Green (2012):
- The logo is surrounded by trees with leaves falling.
Wreck-It Ralph (2012):
- On the international trailer, the castle is red and 8-bit on a black background. The camera then zooms out from the logo to reveal the arcade.
- On a TV spot, the logo is seen on an arcade cabinet screen.
Oz the Great and Powerful (2013):
- The logo is black and white and painted on a building, with the castle enclosed inside an ellipse with "Disney" underneath it. This is shown in the 4:3 aspect ratio.
- On TV spots, the logo is in black and white at first, but then transforms into Emerald City, with the sky turning dark blue and the "Disney" text zooming in slowly and turning silverish-gold.
- On one TV spot, as the castle transforms into Emerald City, the "Disney" text dissolves into tiny specks.
- Both variants were designed by Greenhaus GFX, who uploaded the below-linked behind-the-scenes breakdown to their Vimeo. Note that in said breakdown, the logo is fully in color.
Planes (2013):
- On one trailer, it's the same as in the movie, but shortened to two planes flying past the castle towards the screen.
Frozen (2013):
- It is snowing on the logo and the sky is clouded with mist.
Saving Mr. Banks (2013):
- Same as the movie itself.
The Lone Ranger (2013):
- The logo is in black and white with "Disney" already formed and it zooms in through the gate to the Jerry Bruckheimer Films logo. This was made by Devastudios.
Maleficent (2014):
- The usual castle is replaced with King Stefan's castle against a night background. "Disney" then zooms in and the trailer continues.
Planes: Fire & Rescue (2014):
- The logo's sky turns golden yellow.
Big Hero 6 (2014):
- The logo becomes a graphic on a computer screen, then Hiro Hamada's hand swipes left. Only seen on the teaser trailer.
The BFG (2016):
- The tallest tower of the castle is replaced with the Big Ben tower, glowing lime green. The background is also darkened a bit, and the text is slightly large.
Alice Through the Looking Glass (2016)
- Absolem (in butterfly form) is seen standing on the letter I in the "Disney" wordmark. He then flies away and the trailer continues.
- On the first trailer, everything except the word "DISNEY" tilts to the tune of a clock tick-tocking, and the sparkles around the text are absent.
Moana (2016):
- The entire logo is sewn onto a brown blanket. The word "DISNEY" is reddish-brown. The line across the castle is removed.
Zootopia (2016):
- In an advertisement for the film's video release, the front of the castle logo is grafted on top of the Zootopia skyline in a scene from the film, with the arc being formed as usual but wider, and "Disney" appears below as usual in the same color and texture as the film's logo.
Beauty and the Beast (2017):
- On a snowy background, the camera moves above a forest. The camera stops moving when we see the Castle of the Beast with great white gardens (due to the snow). While snow is falling, the arc is formed and "Disney" appears below the castle as usual.
- On another trailer, it lacks the snow, and the Castle of the Beast is darker.
- Another trailer has the angle shifted higher. The castle is still dark as mentioned above.
Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales (2017):
- The clouds are stormy-looking and the castle is replaced with a bunch of stones and rocks.
Olaf's Frozen Adventure (2017):
- Same as the Frozen (2013) trailer, but is tinted in light blue.
A Wrinkle in Time (2018):
- Same as the movie itself.
Incredibles 2 (2018):
- Same as the movie itself, but the castle has been replaced by the Parr family's house as seen from the film. Seen on the Blu-Ray trailer.
Mary Poppins Returns (2018):
- Same as the film itself, but the sky background is different.
Ralph Breaks the Internet (2018):
- The logo is formed through lines of binary.
- On another trailer, the castle gets static-shocked, revealing a castle similar to the 1985 logo.
Aladdin (2019):
- In a few TV spots, the Disney castle is set in the desert and is in Agrabah's design.
Dumbo (2019):
- On the official trailer, the logo animates in reverse and the flag at the top of the castle is replaced with a compass sign. The background then fades into a completely different scene.
Maleficent: Mistress of Evil (2019):
- The logo is normal on Disney's YouTube channel and in the USA and Canada, but on international trailers, against a daytime sky, there's King Stefan's castle with the usual "Disney" wordmark in front of it. The camera zooms in and later tilts 90° counter-clockwise.
Artemis Fowl (2020)
- Similar to the Tron: Legacy variant, but it's in nighttime and the arc is replaced by a metal ring with inscriptions in it that spins. The text is also chiseled, and is set in the corporate font.
Hamilton (2020)
- The animation starts from the flag appearing, then fades to the camera being in its spot with more fireworks appearing around the castle. Unfortunately, the Disney text is removed.
The One and Only Ivan (2020, Disney+)
- The sky is painted in a shade of orange.
Raya and the Last Dragon (2021)
- A castle on a mountain, the one seen in the land of Heart, replaces the original castle.
Cruella (2021):
- The logo is in black and white, while the "DISNEY" text is colored red.
Encanto (2021):
- The Casita replaces the original castle. The text is also brighter.
Turning Red (2022, Disney+):
- The "DISNEY" text is bigger and pulsates to the beat from the music. Seen on the second trailer.
- On TV spots, the logo is in a box beside the Pixar logo.
Chip 'n Dale: Rescue Rangers (2022, Disney+):
- Just the normal logo with the "DISNEY" text in the same style as this movie's variant. Seen on the first trailer.
- In the "Booth to Screen" trailer, it's the same as the film itself.
Hocus Pocus 2 (2022, Disney+):
On the Disney+ version of the trailer, the last few seconds of the full logo plays (starting with the arc drawing), but the text is already visible.
Disenchanted (2022, Disney+):
- On the Disney+ version of the trailer, it's the same as the film itself, occurring before the transformation.
- On another trailer, the logo is the same as the film again, occurring after the transformation. It also zooms into the castle.
Strange World (2022):
- The 2006 logo is black and white on a piece of film from the 50s. The ship from the movie is seen flying past the castle.
Haunted Mansion (2023):
- The 2022 logo is set at night, with the moon above, and is lit up in purple and blue lights.
