Star Distribution

Background

Star Distribution is the Latin American distribution sub-arm of Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures founded in 1961 as the Latin American and Brazilian branch of Buena Vista International. However, Buena Vista releases of Disney titles were handled by many distributors at that time due to Buena Vista lacking a in-house international distributor.

On February 11, 2022, the Buena Vista brand was completely retired in Latin America (except in Brazil, where the brand wasn't adopted until November of that year), following this, the Latin America division of Buena Vista International was renamed to Star Distribution, the name was directly taken from Disney's general entertainment television and streaming service brand in Latin America with the same name.

On November 3, 2022, the Brazilian branch of Buena Vista International became Star Distribution. Star Distribution didn't have its official on-screen logo (unless they do have it otherwise), which the logo appears only in trailers.
