Background

Disney Interactive (formerly Buena Vista Internet Group and Disney Interactive Media Group, and later on Disney Games and Interactive Experiences) was a division of The Walt Disney Company that oversaw its internet and interactive operations, originally founded in 1995. In 2015, the company merged with Disney Consumer Products to form Disney Consumer Products and Interactive Media. Then, in the wake of the pending merger with 21st Century Fox in 2018, the company was merged again into Walt Disney Parks and Resorts Worldwide and currently operates under Disney Parks, Experiences and Products. It is not to be confused with one of the previous names of Disney Interactive Studios.
