Background

Disney Channel On Demand is Disney Channel's video-on-demand service, offering select episodes of the channel's original series and Disney Junior programming, along with select original movies and behind-the-scenes features to digital cable and IPTV providers.

1st Logo (2006-2008)

Visuals: On a green digital background with the continents of the world that rotates clockwise, there is a yellow arrow. The arrow does a flip and draws a blue circle, causing the Disney Channel logo during the era and a green curved rectangle which is bigger on the right side to appear. The arrow gets smaller and lands on the right side of the rectangle, forming the words "ON DEMAND" in the same font as the word "ORIGINAL" in the Disney Channel Originals logo during the era.

Technique: Computer animation by GrapeVine Productions and edited by C. Hayslett.

Audio: A weird "technical" sound, which is the same sound at the beginning of Disney Channel's up next bumpers during the 2002-2007 era, while the jingle from the same up next ident from the same era plays through out. Composed by Tonal Sound and Elias Associates.

Availability: It was seen during on-demand programming Disney Channel offered during the era.

2nd Logo (2008-2012)

Visuals: On a dark blue cloudy sky, there is a light blue circle and a green curved rectangle like the one before simultaneously zoom in and out, respectively to the middle of the screen. When they come together, the circle forms the same Disney Channel logo from before, but the word "DiSNEY CHANNEL" is now in white and it's now filled in purple with sparkles. The words "ON DEMAND" are formed on the rectangle in the same fashion as before. Outlines of the rectangle and the circle zoom in to the screen via a transmitting effect while the whole logo zooms in slowly.

Variant: Usually if the program has commercials after the above logo, it's different than above. This time on a green background with some objects, a blue ribbon goes from the right to the left of the screen and the screen pans to the left, only to see that the ribbon appears from the top right corner from the screen to form the Disney Channel logo with "DiSNEY CHANNEL" in green, and is filled and outlined in light blue with an equalizer with the word "On Demand" on the top right on the screen. The variant actually originated from a Kim Possible bumper from 2007 to 2010.

Technique: Computer animation likely animated by New Wave Entertainment.

Audio: A loud guitar note, segueing into a pop punk/power pop version of the Disney Channel mnemonic, ending with a cymbal clash. Composed by David Norland.

Audio Variant: In the variant, there is a techno remix of the Disney Channel mnemonic. A male announcer (Cam Brainard) says "You're watching Disney Channel On Demand.". This theme, as well as the normal variant, was used in break at the time and was also composed by David Norland.

3rd Logo (2012-2014)

Visuals: Same as the 2012-2014 Disney Channel Original Movies logo, but the banner reads "On DeMAnD".

Technique: Same as the 2012-2014 Disney Channel Original Movies logo.

Audio: A rapid-paced techno remix of the Disney Channel mnemonic with a male announcer (Cam Brainard) saying "Welcome to Disney Channel On Demand." or "You're watching Disney Channel On Demand.". Also composed by David Norland, and was also used as an ident music at the time.

4th Logo (2014-2017)

Visuals: Same as the 2014 Disney Channel Originals logo, but with the banner reading "ON DEMAND" instead.

Technique: Same as the Disney Channel Originals logo by BDA Creative and United Senses.

Audio: A synth rock version of the Disney Channel jingle with a male announcer (Cam Brainard) saying "Welcome to Disney Channel On Demand.". Composed by David Norland.

Availability: Seen on various television shows and movies created or made by Disney Channel.

5th Logo (2017-2019)

Visuals: Over a cyan background, the logo starts with large Mickey ears zoom out in the middle of the screen. Towards the bottom of the screen are several colored emojis and chat symbols. Three circles (one yellow, one purple, and one blue) twirl around in the center, bringing in a yellow dotted line. The yellow circle then transforms into a square and zooms in, as the purple circle splits into two, and the blue circle transforms into an oval. A gray square zooms in, and the purple circles trace out the dot of the "i" with the two Mickey ears on top. Another yellow dotted circle forms, and a blue square zooms in. The Mickey ears then rapidly zoom out, as the blue fill disappears and a pink streak flies by. A yellow rectangle then zooms in, and the text turns pink. The rectangle then "folds" to form another section with colored stars flying to the right, and then folds back in, creating a burst of emojis.

6th Logo (2019-)

Visuals: Over a dark blue background, a light blue Mickey ears shape moves to the left side of the screen. A streak burst appears, forming a lighter blue Mickey ears shape consisting of zig-zag lines in its place. Several yellow dotted curves appear around the ears. The light blue Mickey ears then slide off, revealing a new yellow environment with several sketches of various items. Three curved arrows can be seen rotating. A purple streak then moves to the center of the screen, causing the background to burst and reveal the Disney Channel logo over a purple/blue gradient background, along with more sketches of items and a large light blue outline of the Mickey ears. The gradient moves throughout the ident.
