Background

Churchill Media was a video distributor of educational programs for schools during the early-mid 1990s. In 1996 it was merged was SVE to for SVE & Churchill Media, which in turn was merged with Clearvue in 2004 and is now part of Discovery Education.

Logo (1994?-1996)


Visuals: On a black background, a rainbow-colored "C" draws itself onto the center of the screen, and then the words "CURCHILL MEDIA" flash into place underneath it. The logo holds briefly before fading out.

Technique: 2D computer animation, with possible computer effects for the flashing text.

Audio: A synth-piano jingle which appears to continue past the logo's end.

Availability: Has been spotted on a VHS of Safety For Children. Likely found on other Churchill-produced programs during its lifespan.
