Discovery Channel Video

From the Audiovisual Identity Database, the motion graphics museum

Discovery Channel Video was the home video imprint of Discovery Networks (later Discovery, Inc.) that released Discovery Channel programs on home video. This later expanded to include Animal Planet and TLC as well, both under their own imprints.

In 1999, Discovery Networks entered into a four-year domestic partnership with Artisan Entertainment. Discovery also entered into partnerships with other distributors around the world as well. After the deal expired and after Artisan was purchased by Lions Gate Films, Discovery resumed distributing their own releases until entering into a new distribution deal with Image Entertainment in 2006.
