Altschul Group Corporation/United Learning

Logo (August 1, 1998-2001)

Visuals: On a black background, the shiny steel blue letters "AGC", with patches skewed outwards, are seen scrolling to the right. The letters are set at an extreme downward angle, and there are poorly placed clips of an rocket ship launching, a view of snowy mountains, and a few sharks swimming about on top of them in the order provided. The camera then zooms back and rotates down, revealing a murky-looking steel blue plate that fills the background, and the clips disappearing as this occurs. An oval border, with "ALTSCHUL GROUP CORPORATION" on top and "UNITED LEARNING" on the bottom, then zooms out and surrounds the letters, while various orange lens flares randomly sparkle off while the letters shine. Everything leaves a shadow on the plate.

Technique: Cheap CGI and chroma-keyed live-action clips.

Audio: A synthesized ethereal theme with horns and sparkles, which is the library music piece "Making It" by Jean-Pierre Martin & José Souc from the Tele Music library.

Availability: Seen on any of their tapes from the period, like Human Body Systems: The Circulatory System. Can also be found on Discovery Education.
