Background

Paramount Famous Productions was a direct-to-DVD film production arm of Paramount Pictures, founded in February 2007 but abandoned on January 23, 2011. This division is named after Famous Players, Paramount's predecessor formed in 1912.

Visuals: We see a bright light from above the screen, forming three transparent triangle borders and the word "FAMOUS" is seen behind them. Clouds appear in the background, the triangle moves to the left and more words fade inside the light, emitting stars: "Paramount" in its corporate font above and "PRODUCTIONS" below.

Technique: Computer animation.

Audio: A few whooshing sounds when the logo zooms out.

Availability: Only a handful of films were made and distributed by the division over roughly two years, such as Road Trip: Beer Pong, Van Wilder: Freshman Year, The Romantics, and Wrong Turn at Tahoe. It first appeared on Without a Paddle: Nature's Calling, and was last seen on Mean Girls 2.
