Background

CBS Eye Productions (formerly "CBS EYEtoo Productions") is the documentary and reality-TV division of CBS (similar to Foxstar Productions and Peacock Productions). CBS was known for producing documentaries since the 1970s, but this logo wasn't used until 2005.

CBS EYEtoo Productions

Logo (June 5, 2005-2012)

Visuals: On a black/white gradient background, a gold CBS Eyemark with a black "CBS" in the pupil rises up from the bottom of the screen, a la the 1996 NBC Studios logo. It is accompanied by a line which curves around the logo, but later moves below the logo completely. Everything moves to the top of the screen, as "EYEtoo" (with "EYE" in gold, "too" in silver, and everything in the Didot font) slides out from the right of the logo. "PRODUCTIONS" in a white font appears below the line letter-by-letter.

Technique: CGI.

Audio: An eerie, theremin-like jingle, which is actually from the De Wolfe Music Library track "Silver Sun" by Unit 2 (David Hubbard and Alan Howe).

Availability: Appears on The Next Food Network Star episodes of the time on Food Network.

CBS Eye Productions

Logo (2012-)

Visuals: There is a golden object with some light/shining effects obscuring the screen, before it zooms out and flips to reveal that it is the CBS eye in gold. The words "CBS EYE" slide out from behind the eye as a thin golden line rolls out from the bottom of the eye. Then, "PRODUCTIONS" appears underneath the line as the logo shines and a lens flare effect moves throughout the logo at the bottom.

Technique: CGI.

Audio: Same as the previous logo.

Availability: Seen on programming produced by them from the era such as My Grandmother's Ravioli.
