Background

Nick Jr. On Demand is Nick Jr.'s video-on-demand service, which is available on most subscription providers.

1st Logo (October 11, 2004-September 2006)

Visuals: Piper O'Possum and the Blue's Room version of Blue are seen in pink clouds on a light blue and green gradient background. The camera pans across as Boots and Dora from Dora the Explorer, Blue from Blue's Clues, Stephanie from LazyTown, Holley from Miss Spider, the titular character of Little Bill, Tyrone from The Backyardigans and Sportacus from LazyTown are all seen, before a circle with orange and blue caterpillars that read "Nick Jr." on it appears.

Variant: There exists a sponsorship bumper using this animation. This time, the logo takes place on a pink/yellow gradient background. The caterpillar logo from before flips in, with a blue rounded rectangle below. "On Demand" flips in inside the rectangle. The logo then turns over to reveal the sponsor.

Technique: 2D computer animation, mixed with CGI and live-action, produced by Primal Screen in Atlanta, Georgia.

Audio: A cheerful tune with a girl (in Auto-Tune) singing "We love to play, we love to play, your wish is our command. Watch it when you want to, Nick Jr. On Demand." It's also in the same tune as the 2003 Nick Jr. theme, "Nick Jr. is Where I Play Along".

2nd Logo (September 2006-September 27, 2009)

Visuals: On a light blue background, Dora from Dora the Explorer waves at the camera. Diego from Go, Diego, Go! is also seen. A blue-magenta-yellow-white rainbow then rises up as Wubbzy from Wow! Wow! Wubbzy and the main characters of The Wonder Pets are seen standing on a cloud and the rainbow moves to the left. Three Backyardigans (specifically, Tyrone, Paulo and Uniqua) appear as the rainbow makes a loop. After passing them, the rainbow moves up as the rest of the Backyardigans (Tasha and Austin), the two main characters from LazyTown, and Blue from Blue's Clues are seen. The rainbow then moves to the back, turning it 3D as two raccoons (one orange and one blue) appear and the background turns white, removing the rainbow. The texts "NICK" and "JR" fades in as blue rays can be seen.

Technique: 2D computer animation, mixed with CGI and live-action, done by The Ebeling Group.

Audio: Same as the previous logo.

Availability: Much like the 1979 T.A.T. Communications Company logo, only a partial recording of this logo (the last five seconds) has resurfaced online. A full version of the logo does exist; however, it is taken from a poor-quality home recording, and is partially obscured.

3rd Logo (March 1, 2012-May 20, 2018)

Visuals: On a white background with CGI clouds, two hills, Team Umizoomi flying on a helicopter, and Dora kicking a pink and white-striped ball are seen. Dora says "Here we go" as a yellow ball rolls down the second hill. The scene cuts to a view of the ground with the previously-mentioned balls (and a purple one) rolling on the ground. Team Umizoomi are seen in the helicopter again as they cheer. The scene cuts to an orange line and the balls go to the screen. The purple ball turns into a rectangle, the yellow ball turns into a square (which displays a clip from Bubble Guppies), and the pink and white-striped ball turns into a cone. The camera zooms out to reveal that the line is actually the 2009 Nick Jr. logo in 3D. The black text "on demand" then pops up word-by-word. The bottom text fades out so "THE SMART PLACE TO PLAY" fades in.

Variant: A break bumper exist, which consists of a CGI background with a white oval containing the Nick Jr. logo on it.

Technique: A mix of 2D and 3D animation, done by Gretel.

Audio: A tune based on the 2012 theme, the characters' dialogue, and a woman saying "You're watching Nick Jr. on Demand. Nick Jr., the smart place to play." This is the first Nick Jr. On Demand intro where they don't sing about the service.

4th Logo (May 21, 2018-September 3, 2023)

Visuals: On a yellow background, there is a orange play button. Then, a hand reaches to press the button, causing the Nick Jr. logo to form and the background to gain clouds, trees, mountains and some circles. "ON DEMAND", in white, flies towards the logo.

Technique: A mix of 3D animation and live-action, done by Blur.[1]

Audio: A funky upbeat remix (which sounds similar to the Nickelodeon Mnemonic), followed by a female voiceover saying "You're watching Nick Jr.!" This is composed by Mekanical.[1]

5th Logo (September 4, 2023-)

Visuals: On a playhouse background (which consists of a blue staircase, orange balls, a purple triangle and yellow dots), there is a orange splat background with the word "nick jr.".

Technique: CGI done by Roger in Los Angeles.[2]

Audio: A funky beat tune with a splattering sound effect and a male announcer saying "You’re watching Nick Jr.!" This is composed by SQVARE.[2]
