Background
Sony Creative Products is a Japanese leading IP management company. They're responsible for licensing foreign franchises such as Peanuts, Sesame Street, Thomas & Friends, Pingu, Peter Rabbit and Gaspard & Lisa.
1st Logo (1999?-2010)
Visuals: On a white background with a faint black vignette, two 3D aquamarine rounded chevron shapes slide between both horizontal directions, followed by a rounded aquamarine bar with a diagonal cut in the upper portion, and the text "Sony Creative Products, Inc." in a stacked format, sliding between both vertical directions. The chevrons rotate, one clockwise and one counterclockwise. The elements collide together as they bounce, and suddenly turn flat and in an indigo color as it shakes with a motion blur effect before standing normally.
Variants:
- The closing version has a white background, with said text fading in, in an indigo color.
- On later years, the background is in a purple gray color, and the remaining elements are colored white. As they bounce, the background and the color of the elements change into the normal result. The bounce appears to be 'cheaply' redone.
Technique: CGI.
Audio: A sudden whoosh, followed by a flurry of sparkling and ascending popping notes, ending with an echoed synth note and windchimes.
Availability: Appeared on releases of foreign animated series, such as the 2001 Gumby Volume 1 VHS, and the 2008 Thomas & Friends: My First Thomas - Nice To Meet You, Thomas! DVD.
2nd Logo (October 18, 2010-)
Visuals: Against a darker gray background, a glowing ring shows up from the screen, which then quickly moves as the screen pans over, to reveal that the ring reveals a 3D rainbow abstract stacked "SCP" shape overtime, as well as the background changing to white and with a black vignette added, with several portions of the abstract shape glowing to represent the company's initials. As the ring finishes revealing the shape, the screen pans into view and quickly sweeps from the shape to reveal the company's name in a stacked format settled underneath with a shadow angled to the backside, with a faint radial rainbow color applied over, which then turns into black. The vignette fades out, and the abstract shape waves as it turns into an aquamarine color. Said shape then waves again with a lighter color applied, before changing back as usual.
Technique: CGI.
Audio: A held out deep synth pad note with a loud deep whoosh as it segues to a flurry of windchimes and various choir notes, ending with a sudden deep synth note, the remains of the windchimes, and two synth hums.
Availability: Appeared on releases of foreign animated series the company's currently licensed to, such as Thomas & Friends - Sodor Island Is Buzzing With Activity Today!!.
