Background

Bluepoint Games is an American video game developer founded in Houston, Texas in 2006. The studio is best known for its work on remasters and re-releases of older games to modern platforms, such as the God of War Collection, Metal Gear Solid HD Collection and the ICO & Shadow of the Colossus Collection on PlayStation 3 (the Metal Gear Solid collection was also available on Xbox 360), in addition to Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection and Gravity Rush: Remastered on PlayStation 4. Bluepoint has also developed several full-on remakes of titles like Shadow of the Colossus and Demon's Souls. After maintaining a close relationship with Sony for several years, Bluepoint was acquired and officially became part of PlayStation Studios on September 30, 2021[1].

Visuals: On a black background, there is the name "Bluepoint" in white Trebuchet font, with the 'o' and 'i' contained within a large white circle, with the 'o' being a simple black circle and the 'i' also having its colors inverted. "games" is also seen below in smaller text.

Variants:

  • Sometimes, the white circle is a blue color instead.
  • On PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale the word "engine" appears underneath instead of "games"

Audio: None or the opening theme of the game.

Availability: First seen on the PlayStation Network game Blast Factor and later appears on all games for PlayStation since then.
