Background
IM Global was an American independent film and TV production company, founded by Stuart Ford in April 2007 as a successor to Intermedia Films and originally in partnership with German public company Internationalmedia AG. It also operated in international film, television and music production, as well as sales and international distribution. The company financed or produced over 30 Hollywood feature films and controlled a library of over 300 films.
In April 2010, Indian media company Reliance Entertainment secured a majority stake in IM Global; due to the investment, the company could expand internationally with offices in Los Angeles, New York, London, Beijing, Mexico City and Mumbai.
In June 2016, Tang Media Partners acquired majority ownership of the company, and at the time of the acquisition, TMP announced a partnership involving IM Global and China's social media giant Tencent to form a new television production joint venture under IM Global called IM Global TV. The following year, they merged its operations with those of Open Road Films, IM Global and IM Global TV to form Global Road Entertainment. In 2018, Global Road filed for bankruptcy, its television division was closed down and its successors were replaced by Open Road Films, Tang Media Partners and AGC Studios.

1st Logo (2007-October 13, 2016)
Visuals: On a red background, the letters "IM GLOBAL" in Avant Garde slide on a line forming with some circles from line-to-line moving with holes, then a bigger black circle with a smaller red circle hole zooms in. Then the camera stops with a big red circle with the company name sliding in from the left in white with a line forming.
Variants:
- A prototype version exists on Battle for Terra, where the ending part is 2D and the line is black.
- A black-and-white variant exists.
- Sometimes, the logo starts at the red circle part.
- The Australian release of The Inbetweeners Movie, international prints of both The Factory and Area 51, and Safe use the Reliance Entertainment byline from the next logo.
- A still version of the above variant is seen at the end of Locke and international prints of Max Steel.
- The Australian release of The Inbetweeners Movie, international prints of both The Factory and Area 51, and Safe use the Reliance Entertainment byline from the next logo.
