Background

Gala Distribution was a film distribution company run by Golden Harvest which distributes older and Chinese-origin films.

1st Logo (2000s)

Visuals: On a black background, a "G" and an "H" are drawn. As the letters finish drawing, a gold square/plate appears, shimmering, with two Chinese characters next to it, which zooms out. Then "Gala Distribution" appears under the square/plate.

Trivia: This is basically the same as the 2002 Golden Harvest logo, with the company name being replaced with Gala Distribution's.

Technique: CGI.

Audio: A more triumphant and orchestral remake of the 1978 theme, playing in sync with the animation.

2nd Logo (2010-)

Visuals: The camera zooms out from a steam of wheat in a golden wheat field. From this wheat, a light moves out of it and above the wheat field. The light then descends and flattens the wheat field. When the screen zooms out, the unflattened wheat is the 1978 Golden Harvest logo, but with the bottom-left rectangle having the same height as the top-left one, turning the "G" into a square. The field then wipes out, forming a bronze CGI version of the "Rectangle G" as the logo straightens and white letters in both Chinese and English reveal the company's name that reads:

Trivia: This logo is basically the same as the same as the Orange Sky Golden Harvest Entertainment Co. logo, albeit the company name now reads "Gala Film Distribution Limited".

Audio: A more triumphant and orchestral remake of the 1978 theme with ambience sounds from the field.

Audio Variant: On a current print of Gorgeous (1999), the 1993 TriStar Pictures theme is heard due to an editing mistake.

Availability: Seen on their current prints of older films, such as their remastered print of Future Cops.
