Litton's Weekend Adventure (formerly known as Disney's One Saturday Morning and ABC Kids) is a Saturday morning block that was aired since 1997 and it was owned by Hearst Media Production Group and a affiliate of ABC.

Disney's One Saturday Morning

1st Ident (September 13, 1997-2000)

Note: This logo can be seen here.

Logo: On a white background with a yellow cloud we see a red firework explode. After, the logo cuts to the Disney's One Saturday Morning logo, which is a green number 1 with 4 windows, a yellow door, blue squiggly lines and a yellow flag with "Disney's" Under the 1 is a blue ABC logo (similar to the one used later when the block was called ABC Kids) and to the right of the 1 is the multicolored "Saturday Morning" with lines around the "O" like a sun. The 1 has confetti, bubbles, horns, more fireworks and party blowers coming out of the windows.

Variants: There are pre and post commercial break idents:

  • On a blue background with pieces of the same color that make an outline of a 1 and 2 white halfs of the same 1 and the Disney's One Saturday Morning logo with purple and yellow polka-dots and a red door on the 1 with the white pieces scrambled around, hands start to put it back together. After, the text, "We'll Be Right Back" zooms in.
  • On a teal background with the same pieces with all pieces scrambled around with the Disney's One Saturday Morning logo with the 1 having dark green and red polka-dots, and a yellow door. 6 hands put it back together. After, the text, "Welcome Back" zooms out.
  • On a yellow background with the pieces put together, a hand stamps the logo with red with yellow stripes and a purple door on the 1. The text, "We'll Be Right Back" fades in.
  • On a dodger blue background with the outline pieces, a hand peels the part where the 1 is supposed to go and reveals the 1 with the logo with a pink and purple swirl and a yellow door. The text, "Welcome Back" fades in.

Technique: 2d animation.

Music/Sounds/Voiceover: Playful music leading up to a 4 note jingle with matching sound effects. A voiceover can say "We'll be right back.", "Welcome back.","We'll be right back to Disney's One Saturday Morning.", "Welcome back to Disney's One Saturday Morning.", "And now, these messages.", and "You're watching ABC".

ABC Kids

1st Ident (September 14, 2002-Fall 2006)

ID: Each ID is set in a stadium, with some cheerleaders and various Disney Channel characters doing an event that leads to the ABC Kids logo being revealed.

Variants:

  • A cheerleader backflips, then we cut to some more cheerleaders holding up their proms and a close-up of a crowd cheering. A billboard with the ABC Kids logo is seen in the next shot, with another cheerleader twirling. Two more cheerleaders on the stadium field hold up their proms. The ABC Kids logo is seen on the stadium field as the camera zooms in on it.
  • Kim Possible's boyfriend, Ron Stoppable, spots her on a chair with a parachute attached to it. Then, a ball with the ABC logo on it is thrown to Raven from That's So Raven. After a clip from Lizzie McGuire is shown, Suga Mama Proud from The Proud Family throws another ball that reads "ABC" towards Oscar Proud, who spreads his legs to allow the ball to pass through it. Penny Proud tells Oscar to watch out for the ball and it hits him in the back. A boy is seen hitting a ball with his bat before teleporting to catch it. The ABC Kids logo is seen, with the logos of the shows that aired on the block surrounding it and flying away.

Technique: Primarily CGI, 2D animation, and live-action, with chroma-keying technology.

Music/Sounds: Usually a hip-hop tune with cartoon sound effects and an audience cheering.

Music/Sounds Variants:

  • "We'll be back with more Power Rangers Wild Force on ABC Kids!"
  • "Power Rangers Dino Thunder is back on ABC Kids!"
  • "Ooh! We'll be right back on ABC Kids!"
  • "We'll be right back on ABC Kids!"

Availability: Extinct. Seen before and after commercial breaks or used as a promo from 2002 to 2006.

Legacy: These bumpers are well-known among many kids in the US who grew up with watching Disney Channel programs.
