Background
TV Cidade Fortaleza (owned by Grupo Cidade) is a television station serving the Fortaleza metro region of Ceara, Brazil. In its history it was affiliated by national networks including Rede Bandeirantes and SBT. Currently it is owned by Rede Record.
1st Logo (1978-1981)
Visuals: The Bandeirantes logo is seen above the text "TV URAIPURU - CANAL 8". Below is text that reads "A NOVA IMAGEM DO CEARA".
Technique: A still graphic.
Audio: Probably the same as the Bandeirantes logo from the time.
2nd Logo (1981-1987)
Visuals: A closeup of seven dark gray bars slides to the right. Behind it is the white stacked text "TV CIDADE" and the company's logo, which consists of a white circle with two triangle indents, one on top and the other on the bottom, and inside the circle is a triangle cutout with a white oval with a circle cutout. Both the logo and text zoom in choppily.
Technique: Computer effects.
Audio: An eerie three-note synth piece.
3rd Logo (1987-1988)
Visuals: On a grey gradient background, a group of red spheres fly into the center of the screen and group together as a square. The diagonal silver text "ANO DO 8" slides itself in front of those spheres, before a blue sphere containing a "C" crashes into them and bounces, filling up most of the screen and moving back to the upper side as a frame containing a video of Fortaleza's skyline is shown next to it and the slogan "A Cidade e sua!" below.
Variant: A shorter ident shows a picture of the TV station's antenna while the spherical logo jumps into the screen.
Technique: 2D computer animation.
Audio: Unknown.
4th Logo (1988-1989)
Visuals: On a background of stacked silver lines, the spherical logo from before appears in a three-dimensional design as it flies and spins into the upper side of the screen. The white words "TV CIDADE - CANAL 8" and "FORTALEZA-CE" then slide in below.
Technique: CGI.
Audio: A short piano tune, followed by a whoosh and an announcer.
5th Logo (1989-1992)
Visuals: The logo starts with a picture of a sunset, before the transparent text "TV CIDADE" appears and scrolls to the left and a blue sphere grouped by a floating "C" in front of it appears from the ocean and rotates around before flying near the center of the screen. The text "CANAL 8" then flies around and disappears, and the slogan "A CIDADE E SUA" slides into the sun. Once the spherical logo settles in, the text "TV CIDADE" and "CANAL 8 - FORTALEZA" moves from behind the logo to below it.
Variant: A longer version of this logo exists.
Technique: CGI.
Audio: A synth orchestral tune, then a chorus singing "A cidade e no oito e no oito a cidade e sua" ( The city is on eighth and on eighth the city is yours)
6th Logo (1992-1996)
Visuals: The camera pans through a blue CGI city street while a blue sphere moves straight. The sphere then flies into a yellow-colored sky, while a red car drives in below while the camera pans up and a "C" zooms out forming the logo. An ocean is revealed while the text "GRUPO CIDADE" pans up and places itself below the logo.
Later Variant: The logo has majorly changed since 1994, showing a different version of the same concept. The camera is placed itself in more to a close-up of the sphere, and instead of the red car, a green truck is seen driving to the other side of the street. The flow of the animation of the logo is interrupted by computer transitions which repeat certain sections of the logo. When the logo is formed, it spirals out into the same animation before a take of the sphere moving across the street zooms in and a palm tree is briefly seen. It then cuts to the near-completion of the logo, before another transition into the finished product appears for a second.
Technique: CGI.
Audio: A group of female vocalists with some orchestral hits and a synthesized bassline, while an announcer talks.
7th Logo (1996-1998)
Visuals: Chunks of the sphere and blue C fall down to create the station's logo. As this happens, the C rotates around the sphere in a counter-clockwise direction before it flies up offscreen. Then, "GRUPO CIDADE DE COMUNICAÇÃO" appears from behind the sphere, curved in the same manner as the aforementioned C. The text flies towards the screen as the C drops back down, rotating before placing itself in front of the sphere. This is followed with "GRUPO" zooming out and placing itself atop the logo, followed by "CIDADE DE COMUNICAÇÃO" zooming out below the logo.
Technique: CGI.
Audio: Unknown.

10th Logo (2005-2008)
Visuals: Four glassy translucent lines grow from a translucent curve at the bottom of the screen. Above the lines is a ball of light. We get another shot of the lines growing before they separate into different directions, fully exposing the light ball, which later fades into a metallic globe. The lines fly away as three glassy Cs rise up, the first two passing through. The third C places itself under the globe and "TV CIDADE" in a bluish-gray hue zooms out from the bottom right hand side of the screen, emitting light in front of it. The light dims as the text places itself.
Technique: CGI.
Audio: A news intro-esque rock tune which ends in a short orchestral choir.
