Disney's Favorite Stories

Background

This was a replacement of the Walt Disney Mini Classics line, which ran from early 1994 to 1996.

Logo (January 28, 1994-January 13, 1995)

Visuals: The screen fades in on a red background with multiple copies of Disney's trademark Sleeping Beauty Castle logo sliding across the screen. The Disney script logo (the red word "DiSNEY" on a yellow rectangle) zooms up from the bottom and faces the screen. Then, it shrinks to the top left corner as a crusted square breaks from the backdrop, revealing the following words on a purple background:

FAVORITE
STORIES

Technique: 2D animation.

Audio: A lush, reorchestrated version of the Walt Disney Mini Classics jingle.

Availability: It can be seen on "Disney Favorite Stories" tapes at the time. It does not appear on the 1996 VHS releases of The Wind in the Willows, The Three Little Pigs, and the final release in the line, Mickey's Christmas Carol; the latter uses the Walt Disney Mini Classics logo.
