Background

Rajkamal Kalamandir was an Indian film company founded in 1942 by V. Shantaram, after he left Prabhat Film Company.

1st Logo (August 8, 1944-September 18, 1959)

Visuals: On a lake with a gray sunburst background, there is a girl with a tiara over a water lily who throws petals into the lake. The name of the company doesn't appear.

Technique: Live-action.

Audio: A dark short-held sitar note, followed by a creepy bell melody.

Availability: Appeared on Parbat Pe Apna Dera, Dr. Kotnis Ki Amar Kahani (The Eternal Tale of Dr. Kotnis), Amar Bhoopali (The Inmortal Song), Do Aankhen Barah Haath (Two Eyes, Twelve Hands), and Parchhain (Shadow), at the beginning and at the closing of these films.

2nd Logo (July 30, 1955-January 4, 1991)

Visuals: There is the lake on a pink and blue-grey sunburst background. There is also a closed water lily, which opens and the girl is seen inside. Suddenly, she stands up and throws the petals into the lake. At the closing of the movie is only the part when the girl throws petals into the lake.

Variant: A short version appears at the end of its films.

Technique: Live-action.

Audio: Same as the first logo.

Audio Variant: Stree has a revision of its music, made with a tanpura and a xylophone.

Availability: Seen on some films like Jhanak Jhanak Payal Baaje (the first color film from the company), Stree, Sehra (Flower-Decked Veil), Boond Jo Ban Gayee Moti, Pinjara, Chandanachi Choli Ang Ang Jaali, Chaani, and Path-O-Prasad.
