Background

This is Lawrence Gordon's production company. Gordon previously founded Largo Entertainment on August 21, 1989 as a 50/50 joint venture between him and JVC[1]; he left Largo in January 1994 and forged a production deal with Universal Pictures[2] although he first used the name "Lawrence Gordon Productions" in 1983 before forming Largo.

1st Logo (September 20–December 27, 1983)

Visuals: On a brown background, five white line spread and zoom out, stopping when the company name appears. Together, they form "LAWRENCE GORDON PRODUCTIONS" in dark red and a stacked format.

Technique: Cel animation.

Audio: An ascending Moog synthesized note, reaching a ding when the highest note is performed.

Availability: So far, the logo is seen on Just Our Luck.

2nd Logo (October 22, 2001-July 21, 2003)

Visuals: On a brown background, a film projector runs, as a light flashes and brings forth a line between the following words in Times New Roman:

LAWRENCE GORDON
PRODUCTIONS

The format is generally similar to the previous logo, but the words aren't bolded, "PRODUCTIONS" is smaller, and there's only one line. The logo shines.

Technique: CGI.

Audio: The opening theme of the movie.

Availability: Seen on K-Pax. A still version appears on the trailer for Lara Croft Tomb Raider: The Cradle of Life.
