Background

Seagal-Nasso Productions is the production company of actor Steven Seagal and producer Julius R. Nasso. Prior to 1993 or 1994, it was known as Steamroller Productions and was run by Seagal. The company reverted back to the Steamroller name by 2002 after Seagal had a dispute with Nasso that would ultimately land the latter in prison for several months.

Logo (February 18, 1994)

Visuals: On a black background, a blue/black metallic star-like shape with rounded edges spins and eases back, then a circle with five circle outlines representing a film reel (also in the blue/black metallic color) eases back. Then with rays of light, a silver sword eases out. The star and circle merge to make the shape of a film reel. The sword rests on the film reel, turning it silver. Then the silver name:

SEAGAL-NASSO
P R O D U C T I O N S

appears underneath. The logo shines.

Technique: Appears to be either camera-controlled motion effects or CGI.

Audio: Starts with a flute tuner, with whooshes when the circle and sword pass by. As it progresses, it turns into a majestic orchestrated fanfare. There is a "clang" when the sword rests on the film reel. The theme was composed by Basil Poledouris.

Audio Trivia: The score for this logo appears as the final track of Varese Sarabande's Deluxe Edition reissue of the On Deadly Ground soundtrack, entitled "Seagal/Nasso Logo".

Availability: It was only seen at the end of On Deadly Ground. All other Seagal-Nasso produced movies only carry an in-credit notice.
