Background

The Korean Literature Film Co. (한국문예영화주식회사) was a South Korean film production company. It was founded by Kim Ki-young, a South Korean horror/adult-oriented film director.

Logo (November 3, 1960)

Visuals: The logo opens with a shot of a curtain with smoke swirling in front of it. A hand, which balled up into a fist, rises from the bottom of the screen and the hand then opens when it reaches the middle of the screen. The Korean Hangul characters 한국문예영화주식회사 appear in front of the hand. They immediately disappear it as the scene fades to black.

Technique: Live-action, along with wiping effects for the text.

Audio: None.

Availability: The logo only appears at the beginning of The Housemaid. It is, however, preserved on DVD releases, like the Criterion Collection release.
