Background

Pan Film (판映画) was a South Korean film production company. It produced several films in the late 1980s and early 1990s.

1st Logo (August 2, 1986)

Visuals: There is the print logo of the company with the Korean text of the company's name next to it. At the left is the text "株式会社", and under the Korean text of the company's name is the text "제 1회 작품", all set in a black background. They all fade in, and fade out later.

Technique: A still graphic.

Audio: None.

Availability: Only seen on their first release, Lee Jang-ho's Baseball Team.

2nd Logo (June 11, 1987-1990?)

Visuals: Three arc-like shapes move and flash on a space background. They connect to form a red-yellow-blue tricolor arc; as they do, the color of the background changes from black to white, revealing a human figure and the name of the company in Korean and English.

Variants: On the trailer of Y STORY(와이의 체험), the space background is replaced with a gradient blue background.

Technique: Cel animation.

Audio: An ascending conjoint of notes, followed by a synth fanfare which gets louder with a flute solo at the beginning, following a loud ending.

Availability: May be seen on films produced by the company, such as The Man with Three Coffins (나그네는 길에서도 쉬지 않는다).
