Background

Regia Films was a Spanish film production and distribution company founded by Arturo Gonzalez, the son of Cesareo Gonzalez and a Spanish producer and assistant director.

Logo (June 1, 1982)

Visuals: Over a blue background is a white silhouette of a man wearing a cape flying in the air riding on a galloping horse, slowly zooming in towards the camera. Inside the man is the cross of St. James colored red slightly tilted towards the left, becoming more and more visible as the man on the horse silhouette slowly zooms in. When it gets close, the background shifts to orange, ultimately engulfing the screen to a white background. During this, the cross moves to the top-left corner of the screen, tilting right-side up as two wreaths wipe in upwards on both sides, appearing to be enclosing the cross. Once that is complete, the background shifts to blue, with the cross and wreaths against a white burst of light. Simultaneously, two sets of text wipe in vertically from both ends, those being "REGiA FILMS" in a medieval-like typeface sitting next to the cross and wreaths, and a slightly larger "ARTURO GONZALEZ" in gold sitting underneath the former text, both appearing to have a long three-dimensional body in its corresponding colors. Finally, "PRESENTA" fades in the bottom-right corner.

Technique: Cel animation.

Audio: A regal orchestral fanfare gradually becoming more triumphant as the logo goes on.

Availability: It was only known to appear in a Spanish DVD release of the Italian film The Grim Reaper.
